An introduction ...

What is Hosiery!

Hosiery refers to close-fitting garments that cover the feet and legs, ranging from socks and stockings to tights and leggings. These pieces are typically made from knitted or woven fabrics designed to stretch and conform to the body. Hosiery blends functionality—such as warmth or support—with fashion, often adding texture, colour, or pattern to an outfit.

  • Socks: Covering the foot and lower calf, available in various lengths (ankle, crew, knee).

  • Stockings: Sheer or opaque coverings extending to the thigh, traditionally held up by garters or elastic.

  • Tights: Full-leg coverage from waist to toes, available in opaque, sheer, patterned, or fishnet styles.

  • Leggings: Thicker, opaque, and often opaque, worn as pants or under dresses.

  • Compression Hosiery: Specially designed to apply graduated pressure, improving blood flow and reducing swelling.

  • In more recent years he took the decision to changed his gender and of course his personal style to a women's style,  so he was no longer wearing "Women's  hosiery".
Now as Pauline tights and stocking are just an items of clothing which most women will often wear.

I hope you will join her as she navigates through this exciting and sometimes complex world of hosiery fashions & style.

Now wearing hosiery as a fashion accessory which she can use to bring together her outfits together or to simply keeping her warm.

    My January Sale Find.

    A Knitted Grey Midi  Dress.

I first looked at this knitted dress in Primark back in December, I decide to take the risk and wait until the sales were on , luckily it was in the sale and marked down to£7 about 1/3 the pre Christmas price.
It's a different length than I normally wear, then what is normal for me .
